Portland folk-rockers Fruition will be releasing their new album, Watching It All Fall Apart this Friday, and in celebration of their sound-redefining new music, they are playing two nights at The Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado! Rayland Baxter will serve as support for both shows on Friday, February 2nd and Saturday, February 3rd. Tickets for both nights can be purchased now HERE.
Fruition are currently known for their folk-rooted sound, heartfelt lyrics and incredible three-part harmonies, but in a departure from their usual DIY approach, the band teamed up with producer/mixer Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, The Decemberists, Modest Mouse) to adorn that folk-rooted sound with delicately crafted elements of psychedelia and soul on Watching It All Fall Apart. Showcasing the band’s three singer-songwriters’ (Jay Cobb Anderson, Kellen Asebroek, Mimi Naja) sublime harmonies they first discovered during an impromptu busking session in 2008, Watching It All Fall Apart finds them fully embracing their rock-and-roll sensibilities bringing a gritty vitality to each track.
The band has evolved from a rootsy, string-centric outfit to a full-fledged rock act, and has even taken the stage at such major festivals as Bonnaroo and Telluride Bluegrass and something tells us this will be one of your last chances to catch them at a venue like The Ogden.
