The Melvins Stream New Song, “Stop Moving To Florida”

    By Dom VigilFebruary 19, 2018

Fueled By Ramen recording artist grandson has shared “Whole Lotta,” a new collaborative track with Dreamers.

The Melvins, who recently announced the April 20th release of their new album, Pinkus Abortion Technician, which will feature two bass players, Steven McDonald (Redd Kross, OFF!) and Jeff Pinkus (Butthole Surfers), have released the album’s lead-off track, “Stop Moving To Florida.”

The song is a medley of the James Gang’s “Stop” and Butthole Surfers’ “Moving To Florida,” which Osborne explains, “I wanted to do the song ‘Stop’ but I didn’t want to do all of it and I LOVE ‘Moving to Florida’ so ‘Stop Moving To Florida’ seemed perfect.”

Pre-orders for the eight-song album are available now at http://smarturl.it/MelvinsPinkus with digital pre-orders including an instant download of “Stop Moving To Florida.”

The Melvins have also announced a 10-week North American tour, kicking off on April 26 at the Casbah in San Diego. The trek will feature the Melvins as a four-piece with both Pinkus and McDonald joining Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover.
