DEMAR Shares “Wild Ride” Music Video

    By Dom VigilMarch 2, 2018

Seminal Oakland-based indie rock outfit, Rogue Wave, have returned from a two-year hiatus to delight fans with a new single, “Aesop Rock”.

Alternative pop singer/songwriter DEMAR has released her new video for “Wild Ride,” from her debut EP, Rebels, which was released this past October.

“‘Wild Ride’ is about the ups and downs of a relationship as it disintegrates,” DEMAR explains. “The music video brings to life this narrative of feeling engulfed by the situation.” As DEMAR watches her own experience unfold in front of her throughout the video, she recalls the draining nature of being pushed away and pulled right back in again.

In support of her recently released EP, DEMAR will be embarking on a short Midwest tour with Howie Day later this month. For more information, please visit: www.demarmusic.com.

DEMAR is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Miami, FL. Her love of music started at a young age, writing her first song at 8 years old and eventually teaching herself guitar and piano. Led by the pursuit of expanding her musical knowledge and ability, she moved to London and immersed herself in the music scene. Here, she found her sound and direction as an artist.

After returning to the United States when her visa expired, DEMAR made her way to New York City, where she firmly planted herself in the independent music scene. Her first two releases–“Rebels” and a cover of Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools (Drank)”–generated over two million streams on Spotify and lead to features on notable outlets including AXS.

For her debut EP Rebels, DEMAR worked with a number of different creators including artist/producer Ben Hobbs, Richard Gottehrer and Matt Wilbur, at Vanguard Room Studios owned by Copeland’s Aaron Marsh. Following the release of the EPin October 2017, DEMAR was praised for her strong vocals and emotionally-charged lyrics, with Brightest Young Things calling her “one you’re going to want to throw on heavy rotation in your headphones.”
