Singer-songwriter and storyteller Inara George has released “Liberame,” the Spanish version of “Release Me” which appears on her latest solo album Dearest Everybody – produced by Mike Andrews and available via Release Me Records. Translated by Maria Del Pilar, “Liberame” is one of the most personal songs Inara has ever shared. A song of lost love, “Liberame” provides a heartbreaking snapshot of her mother’s sorrow following the death of her husband Lowell George,Inara’s father and the front man of rock band Little Feat. Watch the video now below.
Dearest Everybody is Inara‘s first solo album since Accidental Experimental (2009). A collection of deeply personal songs never originally intended for release, Dearest Everybody is a departure from Inara‘s work with The Bird and the Bee, her project with GRAMMY-winning producer and instrumentalist Greg Kurstin. The album traverses the line between joy and sorrow, exploring love, loss, and grief in all of its various forms. Inara will appear at the LA Times’ Festival of Books next week, a free festival bringing together those that create stories with those that love to hear them.
