Ben Khan has announced that his highly anticipated debut album will be released on August 10th via Dirty Hit. Khan also revealed the self-titled album’s latest single ‘ruby‘ which follows the record’s lead track ‘2000 angels‘.
The announcement of the highly anticipated debut LP comes on the heels of his two previous EP’s 1992 and 1000, which helped Khan explode onto the scene when released. Speaking about his self-titled debut, Ben says “I think the point of an artist is to show people a different side of things, to take different perceptions of life and present them back to you. Hopefully, this album will take you out of your reality for a bit and take it to the start of a fantasy place.“
The album was produced alongside legendary PJ Harvey, Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails collaborator Flood, mixed by Spike Stent (Björk, Frank Ocean) and mastered by Dave Cooley (J Dilla, M83), with Ben playing every instrument on the record. Ben has also launched an interactive website, The Foundation, which offers an insight into the richness and depth of the album’s story.
