San Diego surf-punk band The Frights have released the lyric video for their new song “No Place Like (Not Being) Home.” The track is off the band’s new album Hypochondriac, set for release on August 24th on Epitaph. Album pre-orders are available at thefrights.com
According to frontman Mikey Carnevale “‘No Place Like (Not Being) Home’ is a love note to being on tour. I live in San Diego and I’m really happy about that, so leaving home to drink myself to death for months at a time can get depressing. Everybody who has ever toured has had the best time of their lives and the worst time of their lives all in one month. And then finally coming home and decompressing with the people you love. And drinking water again. Gotta hydrate baby.”
The Frights have also announced a 26-date North American tour in support of Hypochondriac. The tour will kick off on August 24 in the band’s hometown of San Diego, CA at The Observatory North Park. The tour will conclude in Phoenix, AZ at Crescent Ballroom on October 18. Tickets are on sale now at thefrights.com
