Los Angeles-based alternative pop outfit, Future Feats have been making waves in 2018 on the strength of a touring schedule that included dates with The Wombats, Matt and Kim and Jukebox The Ghost, as well as two much-buzzed about singles that have been streamed a combined 350,000 times on Spotify. With the premiere of their third offering “Keep Up”, the band has set the stage for another gigantic leap forward in their careers as we bring summer to a close.
The band had the following to say about the track,
“‘Keep Up’ is a song written about the unspoken precautions that two parties should always consider speaking before rushing ahead into any serious relationship.
On the other hand, the song is also about throwing a certain amount of said precaution to the wind when thinking to yourself that you’ve finally found the winning combination to someone else’s strangely-caged heart.
It’s about both sides..playing out a perpetual game of ‘Keep Up’ until the opposing force finally falls off their path. And hopefully, the winner will still be found somewhere near the starting line exclaiming loudly to ‘Get Your Sh!t Together’ just in time to help the other find their way back on track.
It’s not love at its finest, it’s love at its fastest.
This one goes out to those who are only content when chasing after that impossible feeling in order to be foolishly happy.”
