Canada’s critically acclaimed metal/hardcore band Counterparts will return this fall with a new EP titled Private Room which will be released on September 7th by Pure Noise Records. Today, the band has revealed a video for their new single “Selfishly I Sink.”
“”Selfishly I Sink” is one of the few b-sides from You’re Not You Anymore. Although it doesn’t really have a place on the record I’m still excited that the song finally gets to see the light of day. Lyrically, it’s a song about forcing yourself to find love where it doesn’t exist. It’s about trying to fill a void with things that are equally as empty.” – Brendan Murphy
Fans can pre-order the record now at http://counterparts.merchnow.com/.
Counterparts’ Private Room EP is a collection of songs recorded during the making of their last two records, that while not featured on those albums, are standout tracks deserving of their own proper release.
The band will also be hitting the road this fall in support of the release. Tour dates are listed below and tickets are available at http://notyou.ca.
