Ocean Alley will be returning to North America this Fall to support virtuosic multi-instrumentalist, Tash Sultana, on a full run of Canada and the United States. In support of this incredibly dynamic upcoming tour, the band has released the official video for their latest single “Happy Sad” today.
Sonically, “Happy Sad” showcases the depth of the band’s songwriting ability, allowing them to showcase their adept ability to create psychedelic bliss through a juxtaposed soundscape. The visual accompaniment to “Happy Sad” offers a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s life on tour – both on and off stage. It is the result of four cameras and eight rolls of film that captured over 10 hours of footage on the band’s tours of Australia and North America earlier this year. Videographer Tyler Bell of Australian collective, The Sauce, then painstakingly sifted through all of that footage to create a finished product that perfectly captures “Happy Sad”’s broad beauty and takes the listening experience to another level in the process.
Before their North America tour with Tash Sultana commences in November, Ocean Alley will be returning to Europe and the UK in September for a run of headline shows and festivals. They’ll also be doing a short string of dates in their native Australia where their Spring tour managed to move 13,000 tickets across seven sold-out shows.
All of the band’s North American dates can be found below and tickets are on sale now.
