Crush Club Announce Debut EP, “Alive” and Release Music Video for “Higher”

Dance pop duo Crush Club have announced their highly-anticipated debut EP Alive (due out November 9th) and have unleashed their music video for “Higher””. Initially written as an ode to Prince, “Higher” has become a riveting anthem for self-love and empowerment. Filmed in Arizona while vocalist TC Milan had an off day on the road with X Ambassadors, the band enlisted the help of director Graham Fielder and an American Paint Horse named Chance.

When asked about the making of the video, vocalist TC Milan said: “The verse started as a message to Prince after his death. We were both really shook and saddened by his sudden departure and we couldn’t not sing to him, he’s inspired us our whole lives. The song then evolved into a bigger message about getting through the difficult moments we all face in life. We all know what it’s like to be so down and out, but hopefully most of us know what it’s like to move past those tough times, when we can lift up and get higher. That’s not always the case for everyone, though. This song is really for them.””

In addition, the duo has returned to the stage alongside Grammy-nominated act Sofi Tukker on select dates of their Treehouse World Tour. The tour dates follow the buzz surrounding the pair’s previous single “We Dance” and the remix by Supermini which has amassed over a quarter million spins collectively across streaming platforms since its release in August. With all this support, it’s no surprise the track hit #2 on UK’s Cool Cuts Club chart and was dubbed the Hottest Record In The World by renowned tastemaker Annie Mac.
