Soulful Grammy-nominated songwriter Kevin Garrett has shared a new single entitled “In Case I Don’t Feel” today. The widely acclaimed artist is coming off his 2017 EP False Hope, which has garnered over 33 million Spotify streams to date. The new single is the first piece of music released from Garrett’s debut album, which is on the horizon for early 2019.
Garrett says on the new single, “I finished writing ‘In Case I Don’t Feel’ a couple minutes before my first show in London in 2015. I performed it with the notepad on stage that night. It’s about trying to understand your limits.”
Kevin Garrett made waves earlier this month after signing a worldwide recordings deal with AWAL, Kobalt Music’s recording company. The Pittsburgh native has amassed a solid audience of his own in addition to his writing credits, most notably Beyoncé’s Lemonade album. Garrett has released two EPs, sold out US and UK headline tours and shared the stage with artists like Mumford & Sons, Alessia Cara, and James Vincent McMorrow. Influenced by the likes of Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell, he’s focused on completing his heavily anticipated debut album. In an industry surrounded by repetition and pressure to change, Kevin Garrett holds true to himself while continuing to evolve the model as an artist and songwriter.
