Jared & The Mill have announced their forthcoming full length record, This Story Is No Longer Available, set for release on February 15, 2019. The album follows the common struggle of a person battling themselves and is about a laundry list of emotions and experiences that make a person who he or she really is.
“It’s a textured mosaic of seemingly unrelated stories and songs, but upon zooming out and looking at it as a whole I hope the listeners see a little bit of themselves in the collage,” frontman Jared Kolesar shares on the album. “There are soft introspective tunes about spirituality, big sounding tunes with broad statements about love, and everything in between.”
He continues, “I think the overall idea is that everybody is at least a little broken, we all have regrets and anxieties, and all anybody really wants in this world is to find the parts of themselves that they like and care about. This record is that idea, and we hope with everything in us that it’s received as such, but we also hope the listener enjoys themselves and finds their feet moving a little bit, because you gotta learn to dance through the chaos.”
The album will feature the band’s four previously-released singles, including “Soul in Mind” which was called “authentic” and “open-minded” by Billboard, “Break in the Ether” which The Boot called “deeply introspective,” “Hope,” and “Feels Like.”
This Story Is No Longer Available will directly reflect the overall welcoming feeling of community and inclusiveness that Jared & The Mill have become known for, reminding us that we’re all in this together.
