Visionary scratch DJ and producer Kid Koala has teamed up with Belgian American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley to release a new album, Music To Draw To: Io on January 25th. Ahead of the upcoming album, Kid Koala and Trixie Whitley have released their new single, “Hera’s Song,” which can be heard now below.

“Hera’s Song” follows the release of previous singles “All For You” featuring Trixie Whitley and the instrumental “Allotropic” from Music To Draw To: Io. The new album is the 2nd volume in Koala’s transportive ambient-vocal collaboration series, the first of which being Music To Draw To: Satellite featuring Emilíana Torrini which was nominated for the JUNO Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Io is a constellation of electronic and instrumental meditations, glinting with the otherworldly blues of singer Trixie Whitley (daughter of Chris Whitley, member of Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub) on six of its 18 songs.
