Seattle-based alternative rock band, Glass Frames have released their new single, ‘Paradox,’ taken from their new album Madrugada, due out on May 1.
Delivering elements from psych rock, progressive rock, and shoegaze, the brainy Seattle alternative band includes Joey Lyon, Ian Curtiss, Travis Corwin, and Stephen Hertogs. Together they make music that guides you to peer through the glass and see a new perspective. With deeply personal lyrics, raw emotional performances, and a safe, sacred live show, Glass Frames is a young band with a purpose.
With its gnarly guitar tones, aggressive drumming, and forceful vocal hooks, ‘Paradox’’ is, without doubt, a single-worthy track. It weaves the band’s influences along with an essence of DIY rock to create a unique sound, which is sure to bring a breath of fresh air, with a hint of nostalgia to any Psych and Progressive rock fan.
“Glass Frames is already a spiritually and sociopolitically conscious band, but this song takes it further than ever with a nuanced yet unapologetic message of hope from the depths,” said frontman Joey Lyon. The Northwest Music Scene described their music as, “a unique and accessible sound that should go over well with fans of multiple genres,” and Rock the Pigeon called the four friends “masters of their particular musical trades.”
In 2015 Glass Frames rocked a sold-out crowd with The Classic Crime. In 2017 they released an electrifying debut EP to follow-up their hard-hitting singles. In 2018, the band ran a Kickstarter campaign and within 30 days fans raised over $7K with an average contribution of over $100.
Paradox is now available on digital music outlets including Spotify, Apple Music and Soundcloud. Glass Frames will be showcasing the single at its release party January, 19 at LoveCityLove in Seattle, WA.
