Speaking to the album, the band shares: “With this record, we explored new emotions that we hadn’t expressed in our previous songs. There is an overarching theme covering the different stages of responsibility, blame and guilt. These are honest songs that came from real experiences. They take on new meaning every day.“
Slow Caves is made up of Danish-American brothers Jakob and Oliver Mueller and their childhood friend David Dugan. After solidifying in 2014, they cut their teeth in the Denver music scene and garnered attention from Old Flame Records. Their EP Desert Minded was released in 2017, followed by a double A side, “Poser/Rover“.
In two years of extensive touring, they have opened for national acts including Third Eye Blind, Cake, Rooney, DIIV, Cold War Kids, The Kills, and Modest Mouse, and performed at festivals including SXSW, Treefort Music Fest, and Velorama.
