Scandinavian songwriter and producer M.I.L.K. has released his sun-soaked new single “Jetski” along with an accompanying music video. On the track, M.I.L.K. mixes his signature upbeat sound with airy vocals, giving the listener a first sip of my drink-kinda vibe. Inspired by the filmmaking style of Quentin Tarantino, the video for “Jetski” was shot in Morocco, leading into a mysterious and dramatic storyline.
Following the release of his 2018 EP, Maybe I Love Kokomo, M.I.L.K. will head into the studio this spring to create what’s next for listeners in his vacation-ready repertoire. Watch the video for “Jetski” now below.
On the track, M.I.L.K. stated:
“The song is a fantasy about disappearing for a moment and just riding off on a 70’s vintage jetski. No worries, carefree.”
With two EPs released to date, Scandi songwriter and producer M.I.L.K. has already achieved over 15M Global Streams and is receiving support from international tastemakers including NME, CLASH, Hype Machine, Inrocks and NOWNESS to name a few. M.I.L.K. grew up in the outskirts of Denmark in Bornholm, on a tiny volcanic isle known as the sunshine island of Scandinavia, lost in the middle of the Baltic Sea. In his late teens, M.I.L.K. left his hometown for Copenhagen where he first discovered culture. “I immersed myself in books and romanticised French poets. Inspired by these greats I began writing poems and novels.” This shows on his latest EP, Maybe I Love Kokomo, a love letter reflecting his fascination of France, and especially his attraction to Paris, which has become the latest focus for his musical journey of the world. Here may lie an explanation for M.I.L.K.’s distinctive style and constant compulsion to write songs and create visual projects: he came of age as a blank page, built himself and created his own taste, with the freedom and energy of a self-taught man.
