Indie rock band Fatherson are thrilled to share their brand new music video for “Ghost,” from their latest album Sum Of All Your Parts. Fans can watch the video now below!
“‘Ghost’ is a song about feeling like you’re not really welcome anywhere and aimless in wander,” the band shares. “Sometimes you just don’t have a clue what’s going on and you lose sight of keeping an open dialogue about what you need and want from others. The lyric ‘loose lips burning ships down by the coast’ is about other people having different expectations of outcome and when those expectations aren’t met manifesting into resentment. Loose lips sink ships.“
They add: “We fell in love with the idea of shooting a video on film and fell in love with how Ben Cowie worked. His ability to take a simple performance concept and turn it into a beautiful, colourful, passionate piece of film was exactly what we wanted. This song is a ball of frantic energy and this video carries that message with grace and style.“
Fatherson is performing in New York City this week as part of New Colossus Festival. Fans can catch them this afternon (Friday, March 8th) at Piano’s, and tomorrow (Saturday, March 9th) at Coney Island Baby.
Next week the band returns to Austin for this year’s South by Southwest Music Festival, taking place March 11-17 in Austin, TX. For a full list of showcases and upcoming tour dates, please see below or visit www.fathersonband.com.
