Following a 5 year hiatus, acclaimed Long Island alternative rock band Sainthood Reps have made their long awaited return with the release of a brand new single, “Burning Sheep.” Their first new music in 6 years, is being released by No Sleep Records and is available at BandCamp for a “pay what you want” price, with 100% of proceeds collected being donated to the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union). Stream and purchase the single now at https://nosleeprecords.bandcamp.com/track/burning-sheep.
Commenting on the new song, guitarist/vocalist Francesco Montesanto says: “(“Burning Sheep”) is just your typical song about what a heaping mound of shit this country has been the last two years.”
Sainthood Reps’ new single marks the band’s first new music in 6 years, since the release of their widely praised sophomore album, Headswell.
Montesanto says of the band’s revival: “We always wanted to keep Sainthood going in some capacity, but weren’t sure what direction we wanted to take the band. We all sort of agreed to go in a more overall mellow direction. And here we are, releasing probably our heaviest song ever.”
Additional music is expected for release in 2019.
