Molly Hammar Releases New Track, “No Place Like Me” Featuring Big Narstie

    By Dom VigilApril 10, 2019

Checkered Past might be Save Ferris’ first new music in eighteen years, but that doesn’t mean they’re rusty by any means. The band's new EP is not only vibrant and soulful, but offers a wide range of sounds that will hold listeners over until (hopefully) a future full-length.

23 year old Swedish artist, Molly Hammar has released her new track, “No Place Like Me” featuring Big Narstie today. The song serves as a self-love anthem that Molly wrote about “being able to truly be free and focus on what makes me feel good”. Listen to it now below.

Molly Hammar feels strongly about promoting healthy body image, empowering women and fighting for equal rights. Her first EP, SEX, which she released when she was a teenager put her on the map, garnering attention for her bold songwriting and infectious alt pop that oozes with a lust for life and a rebellious attitude. The EP was an expression of herself, saying she wrote it because she “wanted to tell my own story, to discuss sex from my perspective and my own experience.”

She’s been focusing on music and writing these last few years, and now she’s back with her powerful tunes and self-aware anthems. Speaking of the video, she said – “It’s been a long-time dream of mine to shoot a video in London and in an environment I’m at home in. Roger Russell and his team were great – they were amazing at visualising my ideas and I think he really capture’s why there really is no place like me. I’m at a time in my life right now, where I’m able to truly be free and focus on what makes me feel good. I’m 23, single and loving life. Having Big Narstie join me on this single is a dream come true, I was so happy when he agreed to guest, it couldn’t be a better fit.”
