Broken Hands Release Video for “Friends House”

    By Dom VigilApril 30, 2019

At first, it’s difficult to believe that Four Year Strong has been a band for nearly twenty years, but when you hear the spectacular songwriting on their latest album, Brain Pain, it’s obvious.

Atlantic Records group Broken Hands have shared the official video for “Friends House,” which is streaming now on the band’s official YouTube channel. Frontman Dale Norton commented on the video, stating “Friends House is all about a false sense of security and the director Sam Kinsella took that theme and put it inside this mad derelict house on a cliff edge…”

Having shared stages with everyone from Blur and The Kills to Black Sabbath and The Rolling Stones, Broken Hands head to the U.S. this summer, kicking off dates with Shinedown on June 21st in The Woodlands, TX, with the trek wrapping July 27th in Ridgefield, WA (see attached tour itinerary). In October, Broken Hands shared two new tracks, “Friends House” and “Split In Two,” which marked the first new music from the group since the release of their acclaimed 2015 full-length debut, Turbulence. The tracks premiered with FLOOD Magazine who declared, “Canterbury’s new contribution to the Atlantic Records roster overcomes the odds to serve up a pair of hard-hitting singles.”  Produced by Julian Emery [Nothing But Thieves, Lower Than Atlantis] and mixed by Tom Dalgety [Royal Blood, Pixies, Ghost], “Friends House” and “Split In Two” are also available now at all DSPs.

Comprised of brothers Dale [lead vocals] and Callum Norton [drums, backing vocals], Jamie Darby [lead guitar], Thomas Ford [bass], and David Hardstone [rhythm guitar, keys], Broken Hands have been finishing work on their Atlantic Records debut LP expected for release in 2019. The band has gripped U.K. press such as the BBC, NME, and The Independent with their dazzling excursions into space rock, psychedelic garage, and fuzzed out gritty blues.
