Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker has released a new song today called “oh, mexico”. Listen to the track now below.
“oh, mexico” follows in the footsteps of his 2018 groundbreaking song, “comethru,” which has not only reached over a staggering 140 million Spotify streams and 100 million video views to date, but was recently re-added to Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist over 10 months after its release.
Of “oh, mexico,” Jeremy says, “‘oh, mexico’ pays homage to James Taylor’s ‘Mexico,’ one of the most memorable songs from my childhood. It’s a somber, dreamy song: one that toys with the idea of going someplace sunny – in hopes of things somehow feeling. It’s actually really not about Mexico at all.”
Earlier this summer, Jeremy also collaborated with friend and fellow singer, songwriter and producer Chelsea Cutler for their 5-song extended play brent, which features lead single “you were good to me” and fan favorite track “please.”
Fans can catch Jeremy performing at Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 1st, as well as U.K.’s Reading Festival on August 23rd. Stay tuned for more new music from Jeremy Zucker!
