Amber Run Release Video for “What Could Be As Lonely As Love”

    By Dom VigilSeptember 20, 2019

Amber Run have released the video for “What Could Be As Lonely As Love.” This is the band’s final release leading to their forthcoming album, Philophobia, out September 27. The video follows a drunken man at the end of a night on a journey of self-pity and lovelessness – watch it now below.

Talking about the release, front man Joe Keogh shares, “Unconsciously, over the course of our three records, it feels like we’ve started to soundtrack the more difficult moments in people’s lives. With this song, we wanted to juxtapose the sentiment of not feeling worthy of love with a more optimistic soundtrack, in order to gain some perspective when you’re too deep in the situation to see clarity. We wanted both sides of the coin.”

The band’s third studio album, Philophobia, tackles the concept of human connection. Throughout the album’s 11-song, soul-searching exploration of “the fear of falling in love,” Amber Run uses Philophobia to highlight that whether it be platonic, romantic, unrequited, unconditional or ugly, every person will experience some degree of love within their lifetime. PRESS HERE to pre-order the album, which includes “The Darkness Has a Voice,” “Neon Circus,” “Affection,” and the late-2018 release, “Carousel.“

On the strength of their RIAA Gold Certification single “I Found,” Amber Run has cultivated a steadfast fanbase who have propelled the band to over 250 million global streams and selling OVER 30,000 headlining tickets throughout the US and UK. The band will expand those numbers when they return to North America in October 2019 for a 16-city run with back-to-back shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles – their first California appearances.
