Amber Run have released the video for “What Could Be As Lonely As Love.” This is the band’s final release leading to their forthcoming album, Philophobia, out September 27. The video follows a drunken man at the end of a night on a journey of self-pity and lovelessness – watch it now below.
Talking about the release, front man Joe Keogh shares, “Unconsciously, over the course of our three records, it feels like we’ve started to soundtrack the more difficult moments in people’s lives. With this song, we wanted to juxtapose the sentiment of not feeling worthy of love with a more optimistic soundtrack, in order to gain some perspective when you’re too deep in the situation to see clarity. We wanted both sides of the coin.”
The band’s third studio album, Philophobia, tackles the concept of human connection. Throughout the album’s 11-song, soul-searching exploration of “the fear of falling in love,” Amber Run uses Philophobia to highlight that whether it be platonic, romantic, unrequited, unconditional or ugly, every person will experience some degree of love within their lifetime.
