Alexander 23 Announces Debut EP & Releases New Song, “See You Later”

    By Dom VigilOctober 10, 2019

Indie-pop newcomer, Alexander 23 has announced the release of his debut EP, I’m Sorry I Love You, due out Friday, October 25th via Interscope Records. An entirely self-produced effort, I’m Sorry I Love You came to life at Alexander’s home studio in Los Angeles. The EP will feature nine tracks written, performed, and recorded by (guitar, bass, keys, drums) Alexander 23 (Alexander Glantz).

In conjunction with the announcement, Alexander 23 has also released his new track, “See You Later,” which can be heard now below.

Chicago native, Alexander 23 debuted his single “Dirty AF1s,” this past April. The track garnered early recognition from Apple Music who picked the song as their “Bop of The Week.” Currently, the infectious tune has now gone on to generate over six million cumulative streams across all platforms. In nearly six months, Alexander, who is known for his angelic vocals and melancholy lyrics masked by up-tempo pop beats, has released a steady slew of music. Each track, including “Another Summer Night Without You,” which was featured on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why (Season 3) Soundtrack, were included on Spotify’s “New Music Friday.” This year Alexander also made his debut live performance opening  for Alec Benjamin on a sold out North American tour as well as  his debut festival performance at Lollapalooza, where Grammy.com declared him as one of their “Breakout acts.” Alexander is currently on tour with mxmtoon playing to sold out “roaring crowd[s]” who know all the words to his songs – from “Dirty AF1s,” which Billboard called a “stand out moment,” to unreleased material that will appear on his upcoming EP. Alexander will continue to tour until the end of October and is set to play a string of dates with rising  Latinx artist, Omar Apollo in December.
