Gold-certified and genre-bending rising star Two Feet has released the music video for his new single “You?”
On the music video Two Feet said: “I came up with the idea for this music video after watching a French horror/thriller film called ‘climax.’ I loved the dance scene in the beginning of the movie. My music has taken off in the dance community and I wanted to embrace that. Johannes (the director) and I recruited the incredible Dani Vitale (choreographer) and her team to help us bring this vision to life.”
In the video, thick guitar can be heard ringing out as dancers in mysterious black outfits and ski masks (Spring Breakers-style) flank Two Feet as he performs. Moving through this warped ballet, he steps into the center and continues as the song spirals into a genre-bending crescendo.
Upon release of the track, he stated, “I wanted to combine elements of my sound with some heavier elements of punk/grunge. While writing ‘You?’ I focused on how it would work as part of my live show and am mad happy with how it turned out,”
Most importantly, “You?” sets the stage for more music (and sonic disruption) to come from Two Feet.
Last month, Two Feet started teasing new music with two new tracks “Intro” (HERE) and “Pink” (HERE). Additionally, “Pink” clocked nearly 1.7 million Spotify streams and its music video has reached 1.8 million views in less than a month. Check out the music video for “Pink” HERE.
Adding to his accolades, Two Feet’s breakout smash “I Feel Like I’m Drowning” just garnered a gold certification from the RIAA and his previous song “Go Fuck Yourself” has been certified platinum.
Two Feet is native New Yorker Bill Dess. A vocalist, guitarist and producer, Two Feet’s rise to prominence began with “Go Fuck Yourself,” which became an overnight hit on SoundCloud, amassing over 8 million streams in its first days online, with more than 250 million streams to date. Since signing to Republic Records last fall, Two Feet has appeared on numerous festival stages including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Governor’s Ball, and SXSW as well as over 20 sold out shows worldwide including in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin.
