Using the moniker Lowen, Nashville singer Emily Kopp has released her debut EP, Only In My Dreams. Including her powerfully moving singles, “Morning, Mourning” and “Only In My Dreams” the album transparently reflects Lowen’s slow, beautiful, and transformative path that ultimately led her to soul care and self-awareness.
While “Morning, Mourning” leads the charge of the emotionally-charged and confessional album, Only In My Dreams is kaleidoscopic of sounds and emotions, melding blues, pop and DIY grit with the sentiments of processing grief, guilt, lost love, new love, wanderlust and hope, sometimes all at the same time. The EP is a living testament to her survival and rebirth, flawlessly documenting a collection of defining crossroads during her past decade – from the loss/death of her first love, to meeting her partner, to traveling the world to find self-acceptance – and how each of those moments have shaped who she is as an artist, soulmate, daughter and friend.
Lowen will end the first chapter of her story and the path she took to mend her broken heart and find purpose in her tumultuous path, by gathering with family and friends in celebration of the release of Only In My Dreams with a launch party in Nashville on October 26 at Analog at Hutton Hotel. If you’d like to join her, please RSVP here.
