Pop-Rock sextet Paper Jackets are running from their inner demons with the release of “Ghost of You.” The brand new single showcases their indie pop roots while combining guitar licks and a hint of R&B, proving that Paper Jackets is just getting started. Fans can get an early listen to the song and check out the new music video now below.
“‘Ghost of You’ is about rivaling inner turmoils, keeping pace with circular thoughts and anxieties that run wild in the mind,” shares vocalist James Mason. “The video portrays that over the simple message of the song which is there are no haunted places just haunted people. And hey, everyone is a little haunted and that’s ok!”
“Ghost of You” is the follow up to the Los Angeles-based group’s recent smash single “Girl“, which has been dominating the KROQ Locals Only chart while garnering coveted adds at radio stations across the country.
Paper Jackets deliver a unique, sleek, souped-up style of synth-pop that equally takes its cues from the current crop of genre peers like Walk The Moon, Smallpools, CHVRCHES and Cherry Pools, but also legendary acts like The Ronettes and The Beach Boys. In addition to their own headlining shows, the band has reached new heights this year, opening for the likes of Bishop Briggs, X Ambassadors and more.
Paper Jackets is James Mason (Vocals), Emily Dickinson (Keyboards, backing vocals), Jonny Vesely (Guitar), Miles Franco (Bass, backing vocals), David Allen (Drums) and Aimee Proal (Backing vocals).
