Buzzing duo YOUNG BOMBS have unveiled the music video for their latest single “Better Day” featuring Aloe Blacc. Watch the video now below and get “Better Day” HERE via Astralwerks. The hilarious clip premiered on Billboard Dance, who called the song “rosy and upbeat,” adding “Blacc sings a song of love over a tropical dance-pop melody.”
The clip reflects the pair’s hilarious sense of humor and captures the tune’s bright and bold buoyancy. Nodding to the spirit of seventies and eighties sun-and-fun film and television, the grainy visual pits Young Bombs a.k.a. Martin and Tristan against each other as they vie for the affection of the same woman. After spotting her on the beach, they compete to attract her attention before eventually running each other over in cars, bludgeoning one another with all manner of household objects, and low key spying on their respective dates from a distance. Breaking up the madness, Aloe Blacc even makes a cameo by way of striking a pose on a poster.
In just two weeks, “Better Day” popped off as an immediate success. Over its first 24 hours, total streams surpassed 100,000 as plays-to-date near one million. Not to mention, it featured on key playlists such as Spotify’s New Music Friday in 27 territories, Cratediggers in three, and Mint Canada in two. Apple touted it on Breaking Dance, danceXL, and New Music Daily, while Amazon showcased it on Brand New Music, Fresh Dance, and Nectar. Meanwhile, Pandora’s New Music Now and New Dance Now featured it in addition to gracing the EDM Hotlist on YouTube Music.
