NYC’s premier brass band Lucky Chops are in the midst of their fall and winter tour dates and will be kicking off a stint of Colorado shows tonight at The Bluebird Theater in Denver. Tickets are available now HERE.
Lucky Chops are a dynamic, horn-based collective who first gained viral fame and millions of engaged views busking in the subways, amassing more than 1.5 million subscribers across social media. Their new self-titled, all-original, full-length album (out now) was produced by Nic Hard of three-time GRAMMY winning act Snarky Puppy.
A 2014 video of their subway performance mash-up of Lipps Inc.’s “Funkytown” and James Brown’s “I Feel Good” went viral with more than 15 million views. The group built a global audience, which led to recording and touring in more than twenty five countries, across several continents.
Lucky Chops was co-founded at the famed La Guardia High School Of Music & Art and represents the younger generation popularizing a classic art form. They are on a mission to spread brass music and music education to the next generation of musicians and have started a non-profit to help support brass musicians.
