Holly Baby debuts with a bang. The 20-year-old singer and artist from Meret and now based in Los Angeles, California creates urban pop inspired by broken hearts – and describes her sound as youthful, smooth, and emotional. Her debut single “Wasted Love” features none other than NLE Choppa – the mega hyped certified-platinum rapper from Memphis who recently made it to #1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart. With NLE Choppa on the track, “Wasted Love” turns into an honest dialogue, a sweet soundtrack for everyone moving on from disappointing relationships. Instantly were given a glimpse of the authentic chemistry between both Holly Baby and NLE Choppa in the official video, which launched via World Star Hip Hop and already has 75,000 views.
“‘Wasted Love’ is a girls’ anthem, for all the girls who are letting undeserving partners take advantage of their love. I want to convey this message to everyone out there: don’t waste your life on people who don’t deserve it!” Holly Baby says about the track.
Holly Baby playfully describes herself as “creative, driven, sarcastic.” With sugar-coated vocals and deep bass mixes, she creates bright urban pop with a dark vibe. The Hemet raised, LA based artist realized early on that music was her calling. “I began creating music as a small child. My parents were really into all kinds of music, so I grew up listening to all genres. I always performed at family functions and knew very early on that music would be my path. In 2017, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my passion and started to really focus on writing and recording” Holly Baby says. “Coming from the small town Hemet made me want to explore and see what else the world had to offer. It made me a dreamer and made me want to prove it’s not how big your city is but how big your vision is.”
Holly Baby has promising collaborations on deck with Jeremih and Tyla Yahweh to name a few. The newcomer is set to release new music through 2020 via Amuse.
