Canadian alt/pop artist Jesse Merineau has released his new single, “Honey” today. The song, which encourages listeners to let loose and live a little, can be heard now below.

Of the track, Jesse said, “‘Honey’ explores how phones have recently caused mass anxiety for many people, including myself. From 2010-2019, people felt awkward not being on their phones while on a night out. Now that it’s 2020, I want to send a message that the reality is quite the opposite. Who wants to be checking their notifications when you could be dancing?”

He continues, “‘Honey’ captures the feeling in your stomach when you see someone who is looking at you in the same way, while on a night out. When your insecurities drop, because you’re a bit intoxicated. When you already know that person is thinking what you’re thinking, even if they are too shy to make a move.”
