Lowen Shares New Song, “Just Fucking Let Me Love You”

    By Dom VigilFebruary 14, 2020
Lowen Just Fucking Let Me Love You

Driven by her greatest asset – her ability to be entirely transparent while addressing her self-acceptance, transformation, and growth – Lowen’s latest single “Just Fucking Let Me Love You” honors her process of self-discovery by walking a tightrope of emotions – excitement and sadness, love and unapologetic honesty, a zealous thirst for the future and a sober recognition of her past. Watch the music video now below.

The new track wanders down the paths that Lowen, the persona which arose from the ashes of Emily Kopp’s past, traveled while shifting her musical career and life path to a freer space where she can truly be herself on stage (which you can catch during her Only in my Dreams tour, starting February 27, in Miami, Florida).

Born from a handful of phrases that Kopp’s partner, Robyn, poetically interjected during a passionate argument, “Just Fucking Let Me Love You” demonstrates how when we find “our person” most tribulations are no match for true love. The song’s swells of idealistic hopefulness, like “we could buy a one way ticket, pack our shit and travel the world,” are balanced by the realistic foundation the couple leans into, with Lowen stating, “the only way it’s gonna work is by believing your worth.”

In the end the couple would see their plans of exploration come to fruition and the couple would bloom as the blossomed on the power of loving each other through loving themselves.
