London duo, Nova Twins have released the video for their new single, “Taxi”.
The video is co-directed by the band – Georgia South (bass) and Amy Love (vocals, guitars), who said, “We actually had an idea for the music video in mind as we wrote the song itself. The concept came from this pink Cadillac in our area that we kept seeing. We imagined ourselves riding round in it, as taxi-driving hit-girls, based in a sci-fi world inspired by all of the action movies we love, like Kill Bill, Sin City, Blade Runner and The Matrix.”
The duo are set to release their first album ‘Who Are The Girls?’ on Fever 333’s Jason Butler’s groundbreaking new artist collective, 333 Wreckords on February 28th, 2020. The album was recorded with legendary producer Jim Abbiss (Adele, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys) at his studio, Lime Green Monkeys. The LP is highlighted lead singles ‘Devil’s Face’ and ‘Vortex.’
Refusing to conform to any template, the duo fuse bass-heavy, grimey rave sounds, taking inspiration from artists as divergent in style as N.E.R.D., The Prodigy, Betty Davis, Missy Elliott, and New York Dolls. As such, the best friends have turned rock on its head, injecting their songs with boundless energy, barely controlled rage and heavy riffs.
