Unlike Pluto (Armond) is kicking off 2020 with new music after going on a hiatus for a few months. Armond typically releases music weekly and had been doing so for basically all of 2019. He took this time to really deep dive into his sound and how he wants to showcase himself to the world.
Listen to his new song, “Life In A Hole” now below.
“Life in a Hole” is a song I made in an AirBnb in Atlanta with two of my best friends and co-writers. It’s an upbeat melodic song with Drum and Bass influence about what it feels like to climb out of rock bottom. During that time we were listening to a lot of 90’s and mid 2000’s drum and bass, so we took those influences along with my alternative rock style juxtaposing a unique sound. I just want to keep experimenting with music with high energy and lyrics that people can relate to because that’s what music is all about for me”
Over the years Armond has evolved from an electronic music producer who worked behind-the-scenes and frequently collaborated with vocalists, to an artist who is front-and-center, singing and performing his own songs. Being inspired by a range of genres, he’s incorporated these in his releases and built a fan-base who is thrilled by this diversity. The reaction to his diverse talents has been extremely positive, his YouTube growth went up by over 100% and 100k followers in less than 8 months. Filled with excitement from this reaction, Armond decided to release music almost weekly in 2019.
With this now giant catalogue, Armond can fully live off of his artistry. He has been consistently streaming over 10m streams per month across DSP’s since August of last year. Back in November, fresh off of the release of 3 albums and an EP, Armond decided to take a few months away from such a rigorous release schedule and hone in on truly tapping into the best and most authentic music he’s ever written.
Over the past few months he was listening to a lot of his inspirations and reflecting on what his strengths are. With this clear vision of authenticity in mind Armond left LA & went off to his hometown of Atlanta. He got an Airbnb with his two closest friends and co writers to create a ton of music.
