Acclaimed producer, songwriter, and recording artist Lido is no stranger when it comes to creating innovative imagery, and the latest visual for his new single “Postclubridehomemusic” is no exception. With hints of futuristic imagery, the video opens with Lido entering a self-driving vehicle. Racing through urban streets, lights and city colors become blurred all the while capturing Lido’s reflective state of mind after a night out. Shot in LA and directed by Riley Robbins, the video’s unique visuals were brought in part by a first-of-its-kind partnership with sustainable electric vehicle company, Canoo. With the interior space of a large SUV and the sleek, minimalist styling of an urban loft, Canoo’s unique design sets the tone for the video’s futuristic backdrop, as well as, Lido’s thought-provoking lyrics.
“Oh why am I living so fast”
“Slow wine got me speeding off track”
“I don’t know why I was feeling like that”
“Something came over me and never came back”
“Postclubridehomemuisc” made its premiere on 1883 Magazine earlier today and marks the second single from Lido’s highly anticipated forthcoming album PEDER, set for release this coming fall.
Clocking in over 1-million listens per month on Spotify, Lido’s 2020 trajectory has been very impressive so far. While slowly amassing a significant fanbase, he continues to collaborate with a long list of modern superstars like Halsey, Chance The Rapper, Banks, Jaden Smith, Jojo and Diplo to name a few. Recently, he produced six tracks on Halsey’s highly acclaimed 2020 album, Manic, which bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200.
