San Holo (Sander van Dijck) is always producing music, it is more natural to him than tying his shoes at this point. Creating is his purpose and he feels most at ease when he is expressing himself. During this time of uncertainty, Sander has been making more music now than ever. He knows that many of you are stuck in the discomfort of an uncertain future, and he wants to help bring some comfort back. In an effort to bring connection back while in quarantine, he will be releasing one song weekly as part of his stay vibrant collection.
On the collection, San Holo said, “The reason for the stay vibrant archives is just to have a place where I can post music that I make that doesn’t necessarily belong to an EP or Album or Project… As a musician, I make a lot of music and obviously there will be tracks that I make that will fade away or drown at some point, which is a shame because I believe one of my strongest assets is the fact that I can actually make music in all kinds of genres (that still have the san holo feeling and emotion cause I make it) in 10 years this might all be over And I know I’d regret not using this platform I have rn to share my creations with the world and using the stay vibrant archive we make it very clear; this doesn’t belong to an album or campaign, it’s just a peek inside my musical mind.”
The first track off of the collection is called “(if only i could) hold you” and is out now via bitbird.
Additionally, San just launched his vibrant phone last week where you can text him personally if you want to talk. San knows how lonely isolation can be, so he is taking this a step further and FaceTiming some of his fans from his personal phone during this time. He wants to get to know all of you! San is always continuing to find a way to directly connect with his fans from staying after each show to sign autographs, to replying directly on social media to all DM’s, he truly gives his fans his time & attention. After launching his phone he was receiving a text or call per minute for days, now with over 3.5k contacts already. His fan club, the birdsnest on Facebook just reached a whopping 15k yesterday, and he can’t wait to keep growing it and connecting with you all. Stay in touch with San here (+1 (323) 289-6893).
On top of releasing new tunes and FaceTiming his fans, San will take part in a number of virtual events over the next few weeks via Twitch and YouTube. Highlights include his headline slot at bitbird’s online showcase ‘a virtual night with bitbird’ and the Twitch live stream of his Red Rocks show.
