Pioneering a trail of their own once again, Young Bombs have released a new single entitled “High Road” featuring Robinson today. Get it HERE via Astralwerks.
This time around, the critically acclaimed duo—Tristan Norton and Martin Kottmeier—fuse dreamy electronics, fluttering flourishes, and country flavors over a slick beat. Buzzing New Zealand pop songstress Robinson carries an uplifting and undeniable hook, “You take the road, baby, I’m grateful for you.” Additionally, the pair share an accompanying lyric video. The boys quite literally “cowboy up” as they go west in the video, wrangling up a few laughs in the process. Watch it HERE.
Of the new tune, Young Bombs poignantly declare, “Our whole lives, we used to take the low road. Over the past year, we began taking the middle road. On April 3, 2020, we will finally begin taking the high road.”
The track arrives hot on the heels of the breakout “Better Day” featuring Aloe Blacc. So far, it has tallied over 5 million Spotify streams and counting. In addition, it vaulted to #10 at Top 40 Radio in Canada where it continues to hold strong. They also kicked off 2020 with a remix package for the tune, enlisting the talents of Cassette Tapes, Dillistone, No Thanks, Badjokes, and Shizz Lo.
Blurring the lines between EDM and country like never before, Young Bombs soar on “High Road.”
In 2019, Young Bombs made the bold leap from sought-after remixers to artists. That leap remained driven by a personal and creative chemistry forged way back in the Vancouver high school where they became best friends. With nearly 100 million streams in four years, the duo of Martin and Tristan cooked up 53 remixes by 2018. Along the way, they lent their talents to everyone from Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga to Billie Eilish, Alessia Cara, Post Malone, Khalid, and Bazzi. In addition, they attracted the support of Tiësto, Kygo, and Don Diablo. Simultaneously, they graced the stages of blockbuster festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra, Firefly Music Festival, and the Billboard Hot 100 Festival. Not to mention, Young Bombs supported The Chainsmokers, Galantis, Diplo, and Alesso on tour around the globe and launched a coveted residency at Drai’s Beachclub in Vancouver.
