17-year-old Mobile, Alabama phenom, Claire Frazier is ready to put her hometown on the musical map with her new single, “I Want You Bad” today. The new track is the first single from her forthcoming debut EP. Produced by Claire Frazier and Dave Cappa (KYLE, G-Eazy, and T-Pain); mixed by Grammy-winning engineer, Justin Hergett (Billie Eilish, Ashe) and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer, Randy Merill, (Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga), “I Want You Bad” finds Claire Frazier at her most vulnerable. Listen to it now below!
“I Want You Bad is all about wanting something or someone you can’t have,” shares Frazier. “In my case, I was in a relationship that I knew needed to end. I just didn’t want to lose the memories or the sweet bond I had with this particular person.”
Born and raised in the Azalea City, Claire Frazier has a deep-rooted connection to music. And, by all accounts, she’s been singing her entire life.
Now nearing the end of high school, Claire Frazier has truly recognized her love for crafting her own music. Writing, she’ll tell you, has allowed her to hone in on her artistic side, while helping her cope with many of life’s difficulties.
During her junior year, Claire Frazier’s friends and family encouraged her to post videos of herself singing on Instagram. Though outside of her comfort zone, she met their requests, and began posting both cover songs and originals. As fate would have it, her videos led to a connection to the aforementioned Dave Cappa, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Influenced by artists like needtobreathe, Florence and the Machine, Adele and Taylor Swift, and suffering from a bit of Bieber Fever, Claire Frazier is head over heels in love with her craft. That, and chocolate chip cookies.
And, dare we say, it won’t be long before she’s on the list of famous people from Mobile, Alabama.
