Today, Cautious Clay, Still Woozy, Sophie Meiers, Remi Wolf, Claud, Melanie Faye and HXNS have released their new single, “Cheesin’,” out now via slowplay/Republic Records.
100% of net profits from “Cheesin’” will be donated to benefit MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. The single, created remotely amongst all of the artists, is a collaboration to assist fellow artists and the entire music community affected during this time. Each stream and download of “Cheesin’” results in a donation to the COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Cautious Clay says, “‘Cheesin’’ is a song that I made with some really talented artist friends almost entirely remotely. Now that most of us are having to self-isolate, we wanted to help encourage and facilitate creativity as well as peace of mind for other artists, musicians and touring professionals who have been affected by the pandemic, so we are donating 100% of the net profits from every stream and download of ‘Cheesin’’ to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.”
Hailed as “an indie kids’ anthem,” “Cheesin’” received its first play by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 today and was praised as a “song [that’s] going to be on my playlist for the next three years.”
