LA-based boss babe Vitakari has released the stunning and nostalgic video for her single, “Bad Weather”. Inspired by 2000’s Y2K Pop and the early internet-rap era, Vitakari blends elements of hip hop/R&B seamlessly into an indie and a fabulously-fun-pop sound. Songs like her latest track, “Bad Weather” will make you miss your MySpace days.
Last summer, Vitakari’s released her single, “So Above,” The track received over 80k plays on Spotify since its release. The music video has been highlighted as a win for the LGBTQ community, with its casual narrative surrounding bi-sexuality. On the forefront of the experiential art movement, Vita is LA’s first to combine immersive art installations with a genre-fluid music showcase. Her most recent event Escape to Vitawood, held at Row DTLA combined performance art, painting, installation and local music.
