Singer-songwriter and fast-emerging pop star Harry Hudson has released “Intimidating,” his newest single out now via Roc Nation. The hypnotic track, about the desire to get to know an intimidating new love interest on a deeper level, evokes a late-night drive over a lo-fi beat.
“Intimidating” follows the release of “Give Up On Us,” a stripped-down guitar and vocal confessional about loving yourself enough to know what you deserve in a relationship and letting go of what once was in order to move forward. “Give Up On Us” was recently featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and Apple Music’s Beats 1 with Zane Lowe, with support from Justin Bieber who talked with Harry on his Instagram about the new song and why using your voice to help others is important – click HERE to watch their conversation.
“This song is about liking somebody, but not wanting to come off too strong. It’s this idea of a girl who’s intimidating to talk to because you’re afraid of messing things up. I’m the type of person who overthinks everything and this song is about the growth that comes with recognizing that. I’m saying that we don’t need to rush things, but I like you and I’m here for you,” shares Harry.
Additionally, June is National Cancer Survivors Month, and Harry, who is an ambassador for Teen Cancer America and a Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor, had a powerful conversation with The Who’s Roger Daltrey, who co-founded Teen Cancer America with Pete Townshend, about the need for developing care and services catered specially to teenagers and their unique needs.
