22 year old critically acclaimed London based artist Delilah Montagu has arrived today with her highly anticipated debut single, “Version Of Me“, a fearless autobiographical story of self-discovery, out now on EPIC Records.
Prior to the arrival of the global pandemic we all now find ourselves a part of, Delilah took herself to Los Angeles where she sparked a connection with producer Robin Hannibal (Rhye, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak). Here, with the confidence of Robin, she learned how to express and completely own her story for the very first time; an amalgamation which transferred beautifully to this new set of music Delilah finds herself ready to share with the world today.
Speaking about Version Of Me Delilah said, “It’s about wanting to be your true self, but not knowing who that is, or what that looks like. I’ve been trying for so long to find the right words, the right time, and the right way to say how I feel, but when you’re questioning yourself that can be a terrifying reality to articulate. I’m so proud of this song and hope that maybe it can bring others the solace it’s given me.”
Of the video Delilah said, “I loved making the music video too, with four of my closest friends and favourite female artists’. Florence Kosky created it and I love that my girlfriend made the art and took the photo of me for the single cover, on my childhood bed in my mums home.”
