Rising alt-pop duo Bahari have released a special remix of their 100 million stream-generating viral hit “Savage” featuring rapper BIA. The Los Angeles-based duo—comprised of Ruby Carr [vocals, keyboards] and Natalia Panzarella [vocals, bass]—will unveil more new music very soon.
The original “Savage” catalyzed the duo’s rise and has been certified Gold by the RIAA. Now, the remix incorporates nimble rhymes from BIA amidst airy flutes, cinematic strings, and a hard-hitting hook. Additionally, they turn up in a sexy and slick accompanying music video. Intercutting intimate and dark vignettes, Ruby and Natalia quite literally play with fire, torch a rose, and run amok under hues of pink, purple, and blue. BIA joins them with a wild cameo of her own. Watch it now below.
About this new take, the duo commented, “We decided to write a song that emboldened and empowered us as two young women who had recently gone through difficult relationships. A lot of what we write is very vulnerable, so we flipped it around and said, ‘We feel good about ourselves.’ We needed a strong female artist for the remix, and BIA was a perfect fit.”
On this Saturday, July 18 at 5pm PT, Bahari join the powerhouse bill of a virtual concert event to celebrate the vinyl release of To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You Original Soundtrack. It is set to air on the AwesomenessTV YouTube channel, and they will perform their acclaimed track “Crashing.” Tune in HERE.
