International, multi-platinum pop star Ananya has released her latest single, “Let There Be Love,” a powerful, upbeat electro-pop anthem – a reminder that love is what really matters in life and that it can shine through even the darkest moments. The song was produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Aaron Pearce (Fifth Harmony, Justin Bieber, Pitbull) and received immediate support from Radio Disney and SiriusXM Hits 1, who also announced Ananya as their August ‘1 To Watch.’ Watch the animated lyric video below and listen to the song here.
“It’s hard to deal with the fear and loneliness that’s all around at the moment, so it’s more important than ever that we make joy and connection a priority,” says Ananya. “For me, this is one of those times in life when you are forced to simplify and strip away everything that just doesn’t matter to get back to what does. I wanted to remind people that beautiful things can blossom out of dark moments. All my music is driven by an urge to connect with people, to share with them in the experience of being human – the good, the bad, and the ugly! I feel like we are all going through this collective trauma right now and I wanted to give a voice to the sparks of hope and truth are being born right in the middle of it.”
Blazing her own path, “Let There Be Love” follows the Afrojack-remixed “Livin’ The Life” which saw Ananya make history as the first ever Indian artist to go platinum with an English language track in India and the recent release of her debut EP Fingerprint, which is quickly adding to her over 300 million global streams and 100 million YouTube views with its platinum and double-platinum hits “Hold On,””Meant To Be,” “Circles,” and “Better.” Her standalone smash “Day Goes By feat. Sean Kingston” which has racked up over 11 million YouTube streams as one of the first collaborations between major artists from India and the USA.
From Mumbai and based between London and Los Angeles, Ananya has performed at some of the world’s biggest events (including Global Citizen), has opened for Coldplay and Wiz Khalifa, and has scaled the charts; appearing on major playlists and radio stations in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and SE Asia. Listed as one of GQ’s Most Influential Young Indians and a Forbes Woman to Watch, Ananya (full name Ananya Birla) is a fierce advocate of female empowerment and mental health.
