Just days after the release of their hotly anticipated third album Dreamland, Glass Animals have released a digital deluxe version, Dreamland + Bonus Levels today. The new version of the album includes two remixes of “Heat Waves,” one from super producer Diplo and one from 15-year-old Shakur Ahmad – winner of the band’s remix competition.

As a teenager, frontman Dave Bayley often entered remix competitions and has always been determined to recreate this platform for others. After receiving over 500 submissions for the remix from their fans via the band’s Open Source Website, they selected beyond talented 15-year-old Shakur Ahmad’s remix. The band has been overwhelmed by the amount of incredible artwork, visuals and covers their fans have been making off of the website, and this competition was another important way for them to give back to their creative fanbase.

Today the band also announces their collaboration with coveted tastemaker shoe brand Novesta. The collaboration came about after Dave wore a pair of Novesta in their video for “Dreamland.” The exclusive shoe includes a “INSERT COIN” insignia and quotes “Dreamland” lyrics on each side. The shoes are available for pre-order now at https://shop.glassanimals.com.

The creativity continues, as the band has continually released new merch/collectable items for their fans, including the world’s first augmented reality water bottle, an augmented reality filter for select vinyl, a DIY Tie Dye Kit, Face Masks and most-recently a VHS tape containing the band’s “visual album.” The visual album, which was edited by the band’s own Drew MacFarlane, includes home movies, cherished memories and never-before-seen footage of the group from their youth and growing up together, as well as visuals behind the album’s nostalgic theme. See a recent note on the visual album from the band here! This past weekend, the band hosted listening/watch party for the visual album on YouTube, and over 4,000 fans joined in!

Dreamland has been released to critical acclaim and is already on trend to be one of the most successful albums of the band’s career. In the U.S., the album debuted #1 on the Apple Music Pop Album Chart and track “Heat Waves” hit a new peak of #8 on the Spotify US Viral Chart. In addition, new single “Tangerine” debuted #44 on the Spotify Overall Chart and reached over 1 million Spotify streams in less than 48 hours. In the UK, the album is currently fighting for the coveted #1 spot on the album chart.

Tomorrow the band will be hosting an official Redditt AMA at 2pm EST where they will be answering questions from fans. Fans can submit questions here: reddit.com/r/indieheads
