Los Angeles-based artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Mikey Ferrari has released “lunar light” – the second single from his debut SPACEBOY EP. The tender track, written with his best friend Tony Davia of Younger Hunger and produced by Masterblock Warrior, is about holding nothing back when it comes to repairing a damaged relationship or friendship. “lunar light” beams raw emotion and highlights Mikey’s vast and intricate vocal prowess.
Of the new single, Mikey says, “when I wrote ‘lunar light’ I was in a weird spot in my life. I was reflecting upon past relationships and I started to think about the hypocrisy of many of the sorrys that I had said in the past. At the time, I was making a lot of mistakes and just expecting people to forgive me.”
“I don’t make mistakes anymore,” he jokes, before admitting, “my apologies had become empty promises. This song is about being willing to go to any lengths to fix what I had done.”
Additionally, Mikey recently covered Kid Cudi, his biggest inspiration, with a rendition of “Erase Me”.
