Denver hardcore outfit, Fox Lake have released their explosive debut album on Modern Empire today. Walking the line between two drastically different genres – hardcore and hip-hop – Silence & Violence marks a turning point in the band’s career and features previously released tracks, “Tunnel Vision” “Homewrecker” and most recently, “Codename” featuring Daniel McWhorter of Gideon. Listen to the album in full below.
Speaking about the album, the band said, “Silence & Violence is an album that’s meant to keep the listener on their toes. It’s accessible for fans of rap while still packing a punch that will impress any metal fan. It’s an experiment that came out of eclectic influences, landing squarely between nostalgia and progression. We carefully crafted every moment of this record to be as hard-hitting and intense as it was fun. With a fresh take on hardcore infused hip-hop, we’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what heavy music is capable of.”
Fox Lake recently celebrated Silence & Violence with a special socially distanced pre-release listening party at Denver’s own The Brutal Poodle. To keep up with Fox Lake, follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
