Makari have released their highly anticipated EP, CONTINUUM. With the release of the EP comes with their latest single, “Reflection”.
Based out of Orlando, Makari is a five-piece ambient-rock outfit. This effort produced by Andrew Wade, finds the band further refining their sound, and offers a glimpse into what the bands been doing since their debut LP “Hyperreal”. With dreamy and delicate guitar work, driving drums and bass, impassioned and lyric-driven vocals, Makari allows you to drift on a sonic-sea of delay and reverb just long enough before dropping you back into straight-forward, high-energy grooves.
Their latest single Reflection “is about the complexities of human connection and our desire to ‘fit in’ and relate to one another. It’s also about the struggles of when we just can’t, and we refuse to compromise our personality, our soul, for the sake of comfort.”
The band continues, “With ‘Continuum’ and all our new music really, we dealt with questions of identity. When things change and life becomes stale, or worse, unbearable, we think of who we are, how we got here, the path behind us and the path still unfolding in front of us. We wanted to talk about that, and not as a guide, but as people still lost on their journey.”
