JANNEY Shares New Single, “Come To Me”

    By Dom VigilNovember 11, 2020
    JANNEY Come To Me

Rising pop artist JANNEY has released his new single “Come To Me” along with its accompanying music video today. The song has a danceable vibe and a classic eighties pop element, but the lyrics feel personal and intimate at the same time. It was written by JANNEY and notable collaborators Shane Stevens and Nash Overstreet who also produced the track. It was mixed by Steve Vealey.

Watch the video for “Come To Me” directed by Hunter Airheart now below.

With his eye-catching signature style and penchant for infectious pop music, JANNEY hits multiple senses all at once. The Fredericksburg, VA native invites full-scale sensory immersion with his 2021 self-titled, full-length debut album, JANNEY. Ultimately, he finds an elusive sweet spot between nostalgic synthpop and hooky lyrical narratives.
His early years were filled with musical influences such as Shania Twain, The Chicks, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carpenters, and KC and the Sunshine Band. JANNEY began recording music in the summer of 2019 and over the next year, he carefully cultivated a signature style, which layered upbeat and undeniably pop soundscapes with cinematic flourishes reminiscent of the Stranger Things soundtrack. Pushing ahead to bring his musical ambitions to fruition during the quarantine of Summer 2020, JANNEY began recording eleven new tracks in Nashville and Dallas for his upcoming debut album. “My vision for the album was to create a group of tracks that accurately reflect where I am in my life today as an artist,” he says.

Now, he introduces himself with his first single “Come To Me.” On the track, warm synths wobble between cymbal claps and finger-snaps. His voice stretches from unfiltered verses, “Why you out there dancing with a stranger? They don’t even fit in with your vibe,” before serving up an irresistible invitation on the chorus, “Come to me, ‘cause you could use a little good energy.” In the end, JANNEY is on the path to light up pop. “I just want listeners to find something that they’re looking for in the music and narrative of the tracks,” he leaves off. “I have a genuine love for pop, and I hope that by listening to the tracks on my album, listeners are transported into my world. I think it’s really cool to be able to provide to others the escape through music that I’ve so often sought myself.”
Look for new music and album announcement soon.
