Award-winning New Zealand-based powerhouse group, SIX60 have released a brand new track, “Fade Away.” Get it HERE.
The release comes in tandem with the world premiere of their film SIX60: Till the Lights Go Out. An activation with Air New Zealand, the film will air on a dedicated flight from Aukland to Dunedin where attendees will get the chance to rub shoulders with the band, who will also be traveling on the service. An impressive feat, tickets for Air New Zealand’s World Premiere in the Air sold out within just 6 hours of going on sale!
Following the World Premiere in the Air, SIX60: Till the Lights Go Out will hit theaters across Australia and New Zealand on November 26th. The film tells the story of New Zealand’s biggest band, revealing their untold story of ambition and creative vulnerability. Harnessing the fighting spirit of the rugby field, the film shows how SIX60 transformed a desire to win into musical domination, previously unseen in Aotearoa. Watch the trailer for the film HERE.
Additionally, the band will be kicking off 2021 with the return of their live show, SIX60 Saturdays. The tour is set to be groundbreaking for the multi-platinum group who sold over 130,000 tickets to their tour earlier this year. SIX60 Saturdays will take place through January and February 2021 across Waitangi, Hastings, New Plymouth, Christchurch, Wellington and Hamilton. Tickets are on sale now at www.six60.co.nz.
SIX60 remain one of the biggest New Zealand groups ever, and they also quietly stand out as a global phenomenon. The musicians notably took home “Best Group” at the 2018 NZ Music Awards, among five other awards. The boys made history by becoming “the first New Zealand Act to Sell 50,000 Tickets to a Show in Western Springs Stadium.” Their 2019 self-titled album has amassed over 26 million streams to date.
