Following his collab earlier this year with Richard Ulh for Your Name on REALM, Spanish talent Piem returns to Gorgon City’s esteemed label once more for sleek house cut “Smooth“.

Born and raised in Barcelona, Piem has gone from playing local residencies and slots at the likes of W Barcelona, Pacha and Sonar to performances across the globe including Space Ibiza, Amnesia, Heart Miami and more due to his undeniable dance weapons and energetic stage appeal.

This year, Piem has added more dance-ready cuts to his name with releases on Sink Or Swim, Cr2, Jacky & Friends, Spinnin’ and more, adding to a diverse catalogue that has seen him grace labels like Knee Deep in Sound, Relief, Crosstown Rebels, Repopulate Mars, Mother Recordings, Glasgow Underground and Toolroom to name a few.

Racking up huge support along the way, Piem’s releases have seen the nods of approval from industry heavyweights including Black Coffee, Carl Cox, Claptone, Hot Since 82, Maya Jane Coles, MK, Nic Fanciulli, Pete Tong, Solardo, Camelphat and of course the Gorgon City lads.

Returning to REALM for Smooth, Piem pairs a funk-fuelled vocal chant with scattered percussion making for an effortless, stripped back house groover. Packed with subtle haunting whispers and climactic synth riffs, Smooth is the perfect addition for DJ mixes in the months to come and another reminder that Piem is a firm one to watch.
